The last bastion

I’m taking a swing dance class these days. This week, one of the men (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Rodney Dangerfield) said to the instructors, “This may be the last place/situation in which it’s still the man’s job to lead. That’s not going to end anytime soon, is it??” I heard the frustration and hope in his voice as he said this and couldn’t help feel a little sorry for him. I bet his response to hearing about me studying medicine would be “Oh, do you mean nursing? (he says hopefully)”. :)
